The girls are designing dress and the boys are designing motorboats.By the time the history lesson began Maddie forgot about Wanda.Wanda was timid so she could not read.Peggy was the most popular kid so they want to be accepted by her.

Maddie is unable to concentrate on her school work because she is thinking about how Peggy teasing Wanda. The game originally began in October on a bright blue day. Wanda responds to the teasing by looking at them stolidly and pursing her lips, wrinkling her forehead up so that the gray toboggan slipped all the way down on her brow. Wanda says she has a hundred dresses because she wanted to inpress the girls at school.
To Jack: I think you are very good at basketball. From: Kaitlyn To Ethan: I think that you are good at videogames. From: Bella To Kaitlyn: I think you are good at school. From:Ethan To Bella: I think your very neat From:Jack In chapter 2, Peggy and Maddie notice that Wanda was not in her seat. She wasn't at class the day before either. They like to taunt Wanda by playing the dresses game when they all were walking home. Wanda would always respond like she actually did have a hundred dresses or sixty pairs of shoes. Who knows. She might actually have a hundred dresses and sixty pairs of shoes. Maddie always wished Peggy would stop teasing Wanda Petronski. It bothered her.

Rohan's comment to Madison: "She's a good thinker" Our group was asked to summarize what we learned about Wanda, through the eyes of her classmates . in Chapter 1. We also took the time to give each other a compliment!
Wanda was not a very popular girl and she was a very shy girl. She always sat in the last row where all the rough boys sat and where most jokes were said and where many laughs happened. In a chapter these girls that seem to be popular are waiting for Wanda to mess around and probably call her names. The girls' names are Peggy and Maddie. Wanda wasn't there on Monday or Tuesday. On Monday, no one noticed she was at school. On Tuesday, only the teacher and Billy Byron. On Wednesday, Peggy and Maddie noticed that she wasn't there. *Maddy-Max: I think Max is a very smart kid and is great at math. *Max-Maddy: I think Maddy is very fast at working and great at this project. *Akshay-Sofia: I think Sofia is really good at drawing and science *Sofia-Akshay: I think Akshay is great at working on this project and think is helping a lot on this project. The 5th Grade started a unit today using the book The Hundred Dresses, by Eleanor Estes. They are reading this story in literature circles of 4-5 students. Using this book, they will complete activities and literature responses, Throughout this story, it is my hope that the students gain a better understanding of empathy and what it really feels like to be in someone else's shoes. Additionally, we are striving to compliment each other more and do more random acts of kindness.
This week team three is making a of the play for the book Because of Winn-Dixie chapters 1-4. We have been working on our scripts and rehearsing them. We are working really hard to write the script. We have done a great job working together. Everyone thinks this play will be awesome and very fun!!
The fifth grade students read Because of Winn Dixie and are now working in teams to recreate the story in a series of short plays. Each team is responsible for a certain section of the book. Below are some reactions to today's meeting. Team 4 consists of Matthew, Adam, Jacob, and myself Kaitlyn. My team and I are doing chapters 13-16, so far my team and I have come up with characters and chapter 13-16 scenes and events. The book we are working on is Winn-Dixie or Because of Winn-Dixie. We all have our own character for example I am Opal, Matthew is Gloria Dump and Dunlap, Jacob is Stevie and Otis, and Adam is Winn-Dixie and Miss Franny. We are all very excited to work on chapter 13-16 lines and costumes! From Team 4! lucas,bella,sarah,and i are group five doing chapters 5-8 on Because of Winn-Dixie we have been reading Because of Winn-Dixie for the past few weeks and finished it and want to present a play for our parents to show them how much knowledge we have about the book. Our teacher has selected a great book for reading and acting out as a class.Our group is doing a great job with the chapters,we all have the characters assigned we just need to get the scripts in order and see if each person has enough lines. we also are each writing a script for each for each chapter that we are assigned to. we are all very excited to be making a play on Because of Winn-Dixie!
